"Is chiropractic in you or are you into chiropractic"? - Dr. Zaino

The objective for this blog is for you to question your personal and professional potential. Have you achieved your potential? How do you measure that potential? Life is full of competition and I believe competition is healthy, so long as you do not compare your success to someone else's success. Clarify your personal definition of success and chances are the values of your definition are not 100% identical to anyone else.
Blindly Believing "If I do this, I will receive that"
Posted: Sep 24, 2014 By: Dr. Matthew M Mix
We have all been victim of blindly believing: "If I do this, I will receive that." In fact, this is exactly the marketing mantra that fills my email accounts on a regular basis. There is no lack of programs, processes, and action steps to buy, implement, and procure to get your clinic to see more new patients. Knowing that these tools are available, why does the chiropractic profession still present itself as lackluster?
True Leaders Breed More Leaders

My father warned me early and often that finding good employees was the hardest part about business ownership. Any of us that have been running the show for any time at all understand the significance and truth in that statement. I'd love to think that growing up the son of a business owner had me completely prepared to be an employer, but there were many lessons I was determined to learn the hard way.

I was sailing along in practice for 4 years. While I was not without struggles, things were really going well - patient numbers and collections were growing, and more people were getting adjusted. I had no vantage point to realize at that time, I was headed in the wrong direction. I knew I was headed somewhere and I knew that it was in a positive direction - so it must be my PROPER direction, right?
This profession is in shambles. This profession is confused, scared and divided.

We have powerful voices, some of the most powerful of any profession, that are unable to communicate a message of love and unity that would bring us together as a singular, focused, intentional powerhouse of health. I've often wondered what it might take to get us to a point where we all agreed on a direction and stopped at nothing until we had righted this ship.
It's time the chiropractic profession looks at their practice as a TRUE LEGITIMATE business.

With that statement, how many times have we heard a business owner say, "I am only as good as my team"? It takes people many years to find their soul mates. So why would you hire the first person to walk through your door?
A FreeForm style response to the garbage on Forbes!

By now, most of the profession is aware of the low-rent anti-chiropractic 'article' posted on Forbes.com by Steven Salzberg. We want you to know that I composed a written and video response. The link to the video is below. As well, I have attached a transcript of the video so you may study and make use of the points I made. And I have of course posted it on Forbes.com.

The healthcare drama of 2013 was unprecedented. Over the past 2+ decades, I have seen a lot of interesting, and at times disturbing scenarios... but I have never witnessed such confusion and outright lunacy. Obamacare, with its brute force passage, Supreme Court challenges, and now, completely botched launch, has kept healthcare in the headlines (not in a pretty way) and has given DC's something I have been wishing for over 20 decades. An opening...
The Government Shutdown and the Future of Chiropractic

What is so powerful, has such massive impact, is grabbing the attention of the entire culture, and is so dysfunctional that the United States government was shut down over it? Obamacare! Is there a problem here? You bet! But do you also recognize there is a solution? ...

Washington Post Blog Asserts that "as far as chiropractic benefits under Obamacare, it is up to the states to choose."

In a blog posted by Sarah Kliff on the Washingtonpost.com website, the issue of inclusion of chiropractic, amongst other “alternatives” is discussed relative to it being included as a part of the ‘essential healthcare benefit’.
Here are some excerpts:"It is among the health-care law’s most important and most daunting questions: What health-care benefits are absolutely essential?"...
